<p>Demagnetizers for <strong>assembled bearings</strong>:</p>
<ul>
	<li><strong>Ball and roller bearings, single and double row</strong></li>
</ul>
<p>During the grinding process, the bearing components are held in place by magnetic chucks that provide an optimal grip, essential for the machining of the component. Once the grinding  is complete, the bearing components are detached from the magnetic chucks thanks to an inversion of the polarity, which causes a first slight demagnetization. In this phase of the process, depending on the material, the strenght of the magnetic field of the clamps, the orientation of said clamps, a magnetism usually between 10 and 120 A/cm (12.5 and 150 Gauss) remains. Depending on the dimension of the parts, different residual magnetism values are required: minimum values for small components and greater values as the sizes increase. The values required are usually between 2 – 12 A/cm (2.5 – 15 Gauss). The main causes of magnetization of bearing components are:</p>
<ul>
	<li>holding with magnetic chucks, grinding and similar machining</li>
	<li>magnetoscope and cracks analysis</li>
	<li>contact with other magnetized components</li>
</ul>
<p>The main causes of magnetization of assembled bearings are:</p>
<ul>
	<li>components not demagnetized correctly</li>
	<li>riveters and induction machines for the assembly</li>
	<li>some assembly machines</li>
	<li>some laser markers</li>
</ul>
<p>To get the best demagnetization result it is essential to first demagnetize the components separately (inner ring, outer ring, rollers, cages and seals) and then when necessary, the assembled bearing. All the components of the bearing and the bearing itself must be demagnetized at excellent values, since high residual magnetism is the cause of many problems. During the production process: the residual magnetism makes a quality washing impossible. Direct consequences on the finished product:</p>
<ul>
	<li>friction</li>
	<li>limited fluency</li>
	<li>loud noise</li>
	<li>early wear and reduced life</li>
</ul>
<p>Bearing components  or assembled bearings that have not been demagnetized properly have quality characteristics that are much lower than bearing that has been demagnetized at a minimum residual magnetism value. The demagnetizers available for bearing components  or assembled bearings are different for each other depending on part dimensions and transfer system. Several demagnetizing solutions are available: in line demagnetizers installed in flexible conveyor chains, demagnetizers for rolling channels, demagnetizing units with integrated conveyor belt or compact conveyor belt. Demagnetizers installed in robotized cells and automated processes, manual and off line demagnetizers.</p>

<p>The demagnetizers installed in plants of automotive and engine components can be very different from one another, depending on the specific application. We have several optimised solutions adjustable to the production process depending on: the part geometry, the part transfer system (for single parts or parts placed inside washing of transport baskets), in line or manual off line processes.</p>
<p>In accordance with the specific requirements of the customers we have developed demagnetizers for: <strong>injectors, injector components, valves, con rods, cam shafts, piston rings, piston pin, fuel rail, flywheels, o rings, wheel hubs,  shafts, pump bodies, pins, rings and bearings, wheel gears, wheel housings, cylindrical gears and tapered gears, geared shafts, cylindrical crowns, synchroniser components, clutch assemblies,  clutch shafts, hoses, clutch cones, hubs, sprocket wheels</strong> and many other parts. Holding with magnetic chucks, lathing, magnetoscopic checking, handling with magnetic lifter, are some of the most frequent causes of the magnetization of parts. <p>During the production process, high quality demagnetization ensures the optimal washing of the part. Where the washing systems are equal, the better is the demagnetization quality, the better is the quality and the final result of the washing. The magnetism of the parts added to the machining involved, impedes the correct transfer of the parts that might stick to the tools or to other metal parts of the machine, causing machine downtimes and unjustified costs.</p>
<p>A demagnetized component sensibly contributes to the overall quality of the finished product. Highly critical components, subject to high work stress where duration and reliability  are required must be subjected to an excellent demagnetization. Engine components, transmission parts, not correctly demagnetized wear out easily thereby reducing the duration of the parts themselves.</p>

<p>The Demagnetizers consist of an electronic control cabinet with support and a separate demagnetization coil. Depending on the customer needs, demagnetizers can be supplied with or without support.</p>
<p><strong>Process Description:</strong></p>
<p>The parts are transferred  from the line one at a time, inside the demagnetization coil. When the part is in the middle of the coil, the demagnetization impulse is imparted without it being necessary to stop the part and without any magnetic retention. Various electronic control units and coils are available according to the sizes of the parts.</p>

<p>The Electronic impulse demagnetizers, installed in automated processes with part transfer with robots/mechanical arms, can be designed to be adapted for different configurations. Possibility of demagnetizing the single part, or more parts at the same time. These models can also be designed to demagnetize the parts placed inside washing or transport baskets. Depending on the parts to be demagnetized, the cycle time and the type of robot clamps, it is possible to design made-to-measure solutions according to the customer’s requirements. Easy operation thanks to the exchange of signals between the demagnetization electronic control units and the line.</p>
<p><strong>Example of operation:</strong></p>
<ul>
	<li>The demagnetization coil is free (no part presence) =&gt; enabling signal for part loading;</li>
	<li>The robot positions the part on the demagnetization coil;</li>
	<li>The electronic detects the presence of the part and releases the demagnetization impulse;</li>
	<li>The electronic provides the process end signal =&gt; enabling signal for part unloading;</li>

<p>Demagnetizers in line, installed in rolling channels for the demagnetization of the single part. The electronic impulse demagnetizers D-V series, in line for rolling channels, demagnetize round metal parts: rings, rollers and cylinders. Usually installed after the grinding machine, when the part rolling slowly by gravity is in the centre of the coil, the impulse demagnetization is released without the need of stopping the part. For medium-sized parts, the demagnetization coil is fitted with a stop device for stopping in the centre of the coil. This demagnetizer is only indicated for small and medium-sized parts.</p>
